Did you guys know the FDA just approved a drug that reduces your chance of getting COVID-19 by 5X?

It’s trade name is called Wearamaskasshole. Side effects include mild inconvenience, possible victim complex, fear of people thinking you are a sheeple, being ostracized by your anti-vax plandemic bros, and the power to stop your own asymptomatic transmission as this country stubbornly dives right on into that second wave.

Check with your doctor, or really anyone, to see if Wearamaskasshole is right for you.

*Shared from a reliable source: Anyone with a remedial understanding of how infectious diseases are transmitted.

😎

Sent to be by my daughter. 🤣

(We have to wear masks at all time, I am a nurse in a hospital)

We were talking about expecting to see a reduction in colds and flus, my manager say her call ins are already significantly less respiratory related, it’s going to be interesting to see results next cold and flu season. We think the numbers will go down 😊

I've been so COVID-19 hyper focused, but it's an excellent point. I may manage to miss the normal rhino viruses this season thanks to my trusty mask, social distancing and EXTREME hand washing.

Cool, a perk I'd not yet considered!

No biggie. Like W (the ignorant asshole preceding the CURRENT ignorant asshole) said in response to a question about global warning, WE WILL ADAPT.

This IS a way we can adapt to exposures to respiratory illnesses.

Unfortunately climate change will not be so amenable to adaptation.

Austin. But, I'm hiding out at another home. I'm about to rent my home there out for a year to a person who just moved to the city. Which is completely backwards for me.

My daughter and her children live there and I'd been planning on making it my permanent home this year. Now my old dive in the country is all our safe zone. So, here we are.

If you are going to live in Texas, that is the place to be. Humidity sucks though. I will take Oregon any day. We went into high 80's for three days and about died. Going to low 70's then hitting 60's for a day. My type of weather.

I looked into moving there a some years back when my daughter was in college. The bulk of my family live in Northern California and it would have worked for me. Then, my daughter graduated, subsequently married and has since given me two (precious!) grand daughters. So, I'm rooted here now. It's not what I planned, but it's where I landed.

Austin is amazing, but right this moment it's not where I want me and mine to be until Covid is under control. Hays County is having a lot of issues now, too. Make sure he's being safe as best you can. We're living in weird times.

I am hoping mine make it to the NW. One loves it up here, the other really likes the SW and doubt I will be able to get him up here. But I have a handful of years before they settle then I may consider moving closer where ever they land. It is a bit of heaven here though.

Weird weird times.

I think of a line from an old Robert Johnson song:

If you cry for a nickel
you'll die for a dime...

meaning, proportion people! Imagine if these folks ever had to deal with something like an air raid, or a famine, or being in a besieged city. Imagine them having to use blackout curtains and food coupons and gas rationing.

If these people had been in charge (or been coddled to like they are today) during World War II everyone in this country would be speaking German.

Then again, I suppose a lot of these folks would have had no problem with that.

Our sense of nationalism has long since died under a cloud of partisanship.

What remains to be seen is how many citizens lose their lives due to said partisanship.

improve your chances of not catching anything viral, it will also identify you as an intelligent, considerate human being.

This makes you far more attractive to the opposite sex.

No negatives in that new drug, really.

(One of the morons complaining to the county board about mandatory mask use) who said, and I'm NOT making this up, "God made me without underwear, and I don't wear that. If God had wanted me to wear a mask I would have been born with one". Some people are just too stupid to be alive. I sincerely hope her "god " makes her catch the virus. I'm willing to bet she'd convert to a believer in science very quickly.

Then they want science to fix them. It's a damned good thing I don't work in a hospital. There would be more COVID-19 deaths than there already are. Anyone who came into the hospital with a MAGA hat on would be pushed right out the back door.

and apparently build a better society where people value each other not just themselves

Anyone can check the numbers for which countries have the most cases of COVID. It's not the most populous countries. It's the countries ruled by right wing idiots like Trump, Bolsonaro, Putin, Modi, Johnson, etc.

They have a special N95 tablet that will cut your chances of getting airborne particles by 95%. Science certainly is amazing. Of course no one can make you use this miracle of science. Some people still think it's all a liberal hoax because they heard it in FOX Noise.
