Senator Tammy Duckworth for Joe's Vice President?

A veteran, and a helicopter pilot who lost both her legs in combat. What could president bone spurs possibly say to insult her? Well, you know he will always come up with something.

Here's Frank Bruni's op ed from today's NY Times stating why Tammy Duckworth is the best Veep choice Joe could make.

Good enough for me. I'd be thrilled if he picked her. AND she may be the next President after Biden if he wins. And I'd be thrilled a hell about that too!

an American citizen, or was naturalized as a baby. She was born in Thailand not on any US soil like a army base, but her dad was US citizen. I am not sure how all that works.

Why does shit like this only come up when a Dem is the one in question? Her father was an American. She is an American. And if Five members of the Supreme Court declare she isn't, let's cut their legs off.

unless the American citizen parent makes out the correct forms at an embassy or consulate with a certain amount of time and that parent did live in the US for a certain amount of time preceding the birth. This is totally different than President Obama.

Dark blue governor. Will work happily with Durbin to select someone to fulfill her term.
The question is, whether a new mom wants the gig of VP.
Or does senator look like a preferable life choice for her.
It's not like she has a crumby job.
She's a US Senator.
It's totally up to her wishes. If Biden asks, and she says yes, he won't be disappointed.

A VP pick needs to help win a swing state or attract certain voters, in this case progressives, to the ticket. Rice does neither. She’s a bad choice.

At least in California we would be cietually guaranteed to keep Kamala Harris' seat Dem, she is viewed as a moderate who will not turn off voters who might be swayed to vote for Biden. And she also is a woman if color who will excite many Dem voters to turn out

The Republicans have a deep bench of ignorant, malignant pricks. In a just world, they would be considered, at best, a carload of clowns -- which is what they are.

Unfortunately, there are many voters who consider a carload of clowns as "leaders." It seems there ain't no cure for stupid.

such a fluffy article made the editorial page of the NYX.

This is not an anti-Duckworth post -- I would vote for Biden/Duckworth ticket no problem. However, the article posted offered no depth about Duckworth's political career -- something important to know about.

I don't know if you are aware of how insulting that is. Especially from a DUer.
