-- like perhaps half -- will be because Repukes decided to indulge the Dotard's personal vanity rather than do right by their citizens. It is beyond sick and fucked up.

But I'm sure we'll hit a quarter mil by early September looking at infection numbers this week.

They are making things even worse. And I predict things will continue to go downhill from here. The republicans have always been very short-sighted. They never play the long game. And it's going to come back to bite them in the ass.

LOL. The physical comedy of it - was like slow-mo unloading of a clown car.

Working title of the show:

“How we didn’t @! up the virus response in Texas in order to please the guy who let putin get away with murdering US soldiers.” Coronavirus Task Force Update.

___
Every few minutes the camera panned to another part of the table revealing a new guest appearance.

First I thought, oh they are worried: VP Pants is up there seated six feet from the governor.

Then, zooms out and good grief - there’s Dr. birx - beaming about what serious planning went into Texas opening early. Bleh, it was gross - mother will have words with him later about sitting so close to a female sycophant.

Next, omg, here’s were it got silly: ben carson was there, too! Hahaha: I could actually see his eyes were wide open as he yammered about hand washing technique.

Then, when I thought the table couldn’t get any longer, there’s the guy all the way at the end who doesn’t deserve to be re-elected: it’s cornyn! Good golly, they are scared.

Was a giant CYA session that required like 40 linear feet of table space.

___
It was equally funny as it was infuriating. They botched the planning and execution of dealing with virus, and deserve to lose their positions of power. I’ve had it with this bunch of terrible people.

* Eta correction: Not sure why I thought it was in Houston, but the thing was actually held in Dallas. It did say Southwest Medical Center on the backdrop behind some of the table.

5. Exactly! Great description. All the ass-kissing had them going in circles.

And have ya heard ... Wearing a MASK is a good idea so you don't kill granny!

I was sitting there wondering if there has ever been 3 more insipid people gathered in one room than pence, birx, and carson ... then they threw in cornyn.

Slo-mo clown car. Perfection!!

Oh, man, are they broken or what? It was pathetic.

I saw them, what they were doing after the fact. Terrible, awful people up there pretending they’ve behaved well over the course of the pandemic. And, I just have to laugh at the continued abuse.

Is helpful to know I’m not the only one who found the whole scene absurd.

as he deplaned?

I did laugh. Mr I am not wearing a mask even thought it was mandatory at the Mayo Clinic.

There was a gratuitous display of masks on the table at the CYA session in Houston. Pants’s mask looked pretty limp compared to the breathable American flag? abbott had next to him.

Won’t bring back the people who’ve already succumbed to their malfeasance, but I’m all for them taking precautions seriously... even if it is four months late.

Complete with a maskless choir. Gotta ‘show’ their faith by passing the plate full of virus particles.
