We here at DU - we KNOW we are correct - we are on the side of science, truth, people, equality, empathy on pretty much EVERY single issue. From the theft of the election (and what a horrendous, shocking night that was), to pretty much being able to predict what the future would hold (some here say that reality has been worse than what we feared - I disagree. I think what we've seen over the last 3.5 years, if not specifically predictable, we all knew it would be a constant FUBAR shit storm).
It happens daily - when we saw the pressure to reopen, we KNEW that the bullshit that has gone on since was going to happen - ramping up of infections, the coming increase in deaths.
Perhaps worst of all, we KNEW that power corrupts - so watching Dr Scarf kiss up to Pencil, watching the media soften the words on the bullshit going on (using "untruths" not lies, using "may be" instead of definitely is, the van jones waffling or worse) - it makes one sick.
What staggers me is the continuing willful ignorance displayed by everyone on the right - media, politicians, the public. There are two main factors, to me - Power/Money/Greed (the politicians) - and a brainwashed cult (the public). As far as the media - it is the money.
At least - at the very least - we know that we are on the correct side of history, and of people, and of the truth. But that is cold comfort until we can get that asshole out of the white house, and hopefully, regain the senate - and start the long job of fixing all the shit that the orange infant has broken - and continues to break.

I'm just trying to hold on till we can kick that orange blob out of our White House and get into some good governing with Joe.
My mantra these days: This too shall pass.
