We have a cornered, rabid rat on our hands. What will he do???

Facing defeat and unable to change course (all he can think of is ways to re-brand Biden from "sleepy Joe" to so other school-yard epithet) due to his inept response to the Corona virus, but also facing Republican backlash concerning his treatment of Russia, this cornered rabid rat will try to do as much damage to our system as he can before leaving the stage. What can we look forward to? Here are some ideas:

1. Elimination of post office
2. Total defiance of Congress (which will include the Senate as his fellow rats feel the water rising up to their necks and try to desert the sinking ship)
3. Elimination of Medicaid, Medicare, and/or Social Security
4. Deportation of dreamers and thousands of undocumented aliens
5. Investigation of enemies (anyone who would hold him responsible for anything)

What else? Where else will he go?

Our hope for moderation of response rests with The Congress and I predict that in the next two weeks we will see multiple desertions. This might keep some of the wildest possibilities in check.

What do you think?

Part of me wanted a close election because if Trump thought he had a way to win legitimately he'd avoid crazy despotic tactics. I have no idea what he'll do, but he's constantly surprised and shocked everyone, literally nothing is off the table.

Biden will win easily if there is a free and fair election in November, that is assured right now. But I am not sure we get a free and fair election.

If Trump wins in November that doesn't mean Democracy was ended in November, it means it was ended in November of 2016 and we've all just been fighting for nothing since. If he is still in office next year, it means we will have one of his kids installed in 2024.

He's so chaotic, who knows what actual treachery he will perform, but we know it won't be good. I think he will stick with the tried and true, Intelligence is wrong, PUtin didn't do it, my actions were perfect. The real issue, as you say, what will he do for revenge/distraction or to try to help him steal this election. I think #s 1 & 2 will be attempted/done along with 5 which is already happening and will come to a Senate committee hearing soon. Don't think he will do 3 or 4 - he wants to wait until immediately after the election/theft takes place.

backlash.

republicans convince him to resign after the election. With a pardon.

because if he doesn't they will vote to impeach him. without a pardon.

Both seem far-fetched in today's political climate.

But I'm imagining that Nancy was on the phone a lot over the weekend and I am eager to see her face. This is on a different level of seriousness and might even move some senators.

And with the sinking poll numbers and their fate often to his, they will try to break away as much as possible.

That will be the spectacle of the next few weeks.

Unless Trump invades Iran, that is.

Their only hope right now to save their party is to make a deal with Nancy Pelosi and impeach him. This will get Pence on the Ballot in November.

I'm serious.

Because so many restaurants are closed... and they've turned into cannibals. Same could happen to Trump aides.
