The Trump "cult" are losing their minds.
We have seen multiple examples of them losing it and ranting in public displays. They are very angry and confused.
Is the pandemic a hoax? Should they wear a mask or not? Herr Leader says he is not going to wear one and he will know who is on his side by following his example. The Doctors and Scientists are all wrong. Their leader is right. It is all a creation of the "fake news". It is all so confusing. So they react by refusing to wear their mask and yell and scream at those who do. There is a lot of pressure when you put your life on the line for your cult Leader. It's hard to tell what is "real" anymore.

1. Too true.
My sister in law's brother is one of those No Maskers, big Trumper fans. And he was diagnosed with Covid last week. His wife and daughter are now showing symptoms. They will be tested soon. You can "believe" whatever you want, but the virus doesn't care.

8. How many did they spread it to by not wearing masks
And will they wear masks in the future? I’m guessing they won’t.
I like to think that some of the anger they feel is because somewhere in their mind they realize just how utterly stupid they are in not wearing a mask. Being a malicious vandal is embarrassing and everyone wearing a mask is someone silently calling them out on their disregard for responsibility to others. No wonder they lash out. But screw them for their callous disregard for others. Btw, I have to ask. Why your sister in law’s brother rather than brother in law? None of my business and I haven’t had coffee yet, but I don’t get the difference. |

15. I assume the sister-in-law is married to a sibling.
The siblings of such a sister-in-law generally aren't called in-laws too, in my experience, and it's her brother who refuses to wear a mask.
However, if the sister-in-law was a sister of the poster's spouse, then all of the spouse's siblings should be called in-laws and it wouldn't make as much sense to word it that way. |

The sister in law is married to my husband's brother.

17. Sister-in-law's brother is not, IMO, an in-law. Your sister-in-law is...
Last edited Mon Jun 29, 2020, 10:59 AM - Edit history (2) as she's married to one of your siblings, whereas a brother-in-law is one's wife's brother—an in-law.

18. He is my sister in law's brother
Because I'm not related to him and he's a pretty toxic fellow. He is the brother of the woman who is married to my husband's brother.

21. Thanks
I struggle with what to call anyone more complicated than first cousins. Some mental block.
I can see wording it that way. Kind of like “a mistake twice removed in law” |

23. I know the feeling.
My sister married a guy whose siblings and other relatives are "rednecks" and Trump cultists. They're my sister's in-laws, but not MY in-laws. (By naming convention or otherwise.)
I've never even met them, but my sister has described them invading their home with their many children, without masks, when they could've been considerate and at least talked with her husband outside in the open air. They're the main reason that my sister suspects they could get infected, after all their effort (mostly from my sister) to keep safe. Her husband whines that he can't be "inhospitable" to them. |

What they're losing right now is any form of restraint that might characterize them as human beings.

10. If Trump had acted in his own self-interests
he would have had his minions wearing masks and yelling at those who don't. He was running on the strength of the economy, so when the virus threatened that, he should have done everything to nip it in the bud. But his first instinct is to just say it ain't so and wish it into the cornfield like the kid from the Twilight Zone. And his idiot supporters are like, "It's good that you done that, Donnie"

14. Whether to wear the mask (or not) is an IQ test
I really believe it has gone beyond politics. However since I'm not a regular viewer of Faux News, I recognize that I'm probably in the minority.
I agree with your other points though. The ChumpHumpers are so confused now, and their heads will explode when these Covid-19 deaths keep growing exponentially. Wait until the RNC Convention, it's only a few weeks away. ![]() |

There was a segment about a kid who took drugs and thought he could make the traffic lights turn green with his mind. "It worked for a while", the narrator says......
