Lots of guests probably took it with them who-knows-where, but obviously most of the employees will be local.

Caesars Entertainment casino employee dies after testing positive for COVID-19

https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-news/caesars-entertainment-casino-employee-dies-after-testing-positive-for-covid-19/

I’m not sure if the casino forced the worker to waive his right to sue if he caught Covid or not, but it wouldn’t shock me if that’s the case.

And this is dated today: Culinary Union files lawsuit against major Las Vegas Strip casino companies in order to protect workers from the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace

by this time next week. That will be the standard Incubation time since we opened out the Casino's.

And you wonder why Phoenix and L A are having massive outbreaks. Two weeks ago Vegas was jammed with folks from Cali and Arizona. Laughlin and Lake Havasu were just packed with people.

ELKO – During the coronavirus lockdown, all Nevada casinos were forced to close. Local casinos began opening during Phase 2 which began May 29.

Some operations in different facilities took a little more time as management worked out the safest way to deliver service. As of June 19, the very filling and locally famous Friday seafood buffet at the Red Lion Inn and Casino emerged from closure.

“We did a soft opening to make sure we were compliant with all the regulations,” said Trevor Lynch, director of marketing.

During a normal Friday evening the buffet can serve as many as 300 patrons, according to Jason Yount, director of food and beverage. Last Friday the buffet served about 60 diners.

I did not see anything in that newspaper about this surge of virus cases.

I stayed there once years ago on a service job in a mine and recall there was a reservation on the edge of town. I wonder how our Native Americans on reservations are reporting their cases and deaths.

LV is visited by people from all over. They probably got it, and took it back to their communities.

19. Masks became mandatory last week...75% of those I see in my store are now wearing masks

Thousands of workers are still at home with little or no income. The hospitality industry probably employs half of the workers in a city of over a million...not a popcorn story. My roommate, a chef, has been off work since the buffet at Mirage first closed in March. I on the other hand, high risk factors and all, have worked retail every day of the pandemic, seeing probably a thousand cutomers a day. Before the current re-opening here in town I saw perhaps a twenty percent mask use rate. At least the new state-wide mask order convinced a large percentage of people to begin using masks.
