Okay, I'm lost. I was in a comversation about, what else, Cov19 & all of a sudden,

when I tried to answer, I found I was unable to post. Thinking that I had made some sort of mistake, (WHAT? no idea) but I closed the page and reopened another one and tried to resume posting. NOTHING. So, I rebooted to resume the post. NOTHING.. Okay, I thought, I'll come back. So, went away and browsed the trends. (remember this sentence re: browsing the trends). After a few minutes, I came to DU, saw a tweet that I wanted to post to my followers, (1329) & as I tried RT it, I wasn't able to.

I then got a red message at the bottom of the screen that told me that my account WAS SUSPENDED! WTF?!! So, I went to the gmail account attached to my account to look for a email message announcement that it had be suspended...NOTHING!! Oh & did I mention that my HARD EARNED followers are suddenly GONE & I no longer follow anyone, INCLUDING my husband.

Does ANYONE here have any idea what's going on? "Cuz, I have NO idea WTF is going on. Has this happened to anyone else?

Here is some speculation as to the cause:

For robotic spammers, who try to break in either psuedo-intelligently or thru brute force, errors can occur. The robots are fast. Forum programmers might be looking for patterns of fast action. Your two attempts at posting might have fit.

Strange things have been happening lately. There was an acquaintance of mine (a fellow Sounders supporter), who mainly posted her artwork from her studies at UW, where she just graduated. Anyway, I didn't see anything from her for a few months, then, suddenly, after the first Floyd protests, she started posting criticism of the media for a supposed "anti-police" slant. Since then, her account turned into a "all #BlueLivesMatter, all the time" stream of right-wing posts. A few other followers of hers started discussing it this afternoon, did some checking, and it turned out her Twitter account had been hijacked. It's possible someone did that to you as well, except, instead of locking you out of it permanently and using it for their own purposes, they just had the time to grab it and trashed your followers before getting detected.

11. sounds like the algorithms tagged you as a fake account and hence removed your followers

and suspended you. Are you using this account regularly ? Also, maybe some of your followers were actual bots and you got caught in a purge.
