Watching VP Biden's speech and press conference right now and I noticed something.
He took a question from a reporter.
And when he took it, he smiled. A real smile. Not a smirk. Not a grimace. Not a scowl. But a genuine, heartfelt smile. To a member of the press, who presumably will be as tough on him as they would be on any other President, because that's just the nature of the job. But it was just a simple human moment that before 2016 probably wouldn't have gotten any attention. But the feeling that we might have a person back in the White House who can show genuine, positive, graceful emotion again.... All I am saying is we better win this.

I loved the ending where he said he would be glad to compare his cognitive ability to Trump's. Lol |

40. No, because he lacks the emotions required for a normal smile. He's a psychopath, so you
get the grimace, the sneer, the smirk. Not a true smile.

A lot of people care about healthcare, and police reform, and I do as well. Tremendously so. We have to fix those things if we are to survive. But I also want a president who is clear eyed on the menace that is Putin and Russia and Joe spoke to that today.

41. Also
I loved that his people were trying to rush him, because apparently he was running late - "Okay, just one more question" and there were several "one more questions". This is something he is known for. He gets very engaged with people and it is hard to keep him on schedule. He was such a gentleman.

Hopefully that's how it'll be next January! VOTE, DAMMIT!!! As though your life depended on it. As though your whole battered country depended on it. As though the whole idea of American democracy depended on it. Because it DOES. And it WILL. For absolute sure. |

Last edited Tue Jun 30, 2020, 04:45 PM - Edit history (1) It was refreshing. He was even polite with the guy who asked him THREE obnoxious questions toward the end. I wanted to smack that guy, with his "gotcha" smirk on his face.

26. I saw/heard that too, George.
The last man jammed his three questions when Biden was finishing up. And that last question dealing with Biden's cognitive capacity was insulting. The jerk had just listened to a prepared speech and a followup Q&A. There's no reason, Joe Biden should need to defend his mental health unless you're deliberately trying to provoke something.
He didn't get an angry flash from Biden. Grace under fire, as they say. In fact, Biden said he couldn't wait to measure his own cognitive ability against that of Donald Trump. So, the gotcha question was thrown back with a nice spin. Good job from Biden all around, an example of what an actual leader looks and sounds like. |

38. No comparison...
I get a kick out of tRumpsters trying to say Joe Biden is feeble and senile while totally ignoring the orange clown's nonsensical ramblings. Don the Con never directly answers a question and random words come out of his pursed lips that make no sense at all and generally have nothing to do with the subject matter.
Joe Biden has more mental acuity in his baby toe than tRump has in his entire being! Joe also has more humanity and empathy than the entire tRump clan put together. The People are coming and tRump and his corrupt cronies are going! |
