It also seems as if the GOP is losing touch with reality.

really did define the GOP. They wove a "reality" that doesn't exist except in their heads, and they were making it up on the fly. And since their efforts to keep all the "rules" straight are failing, we are watching them implode in real-time.

If they actually believe what they are saying, and 47% of us freeloading moochers AND the "elite, smart people" (which, I'm sure is a decent chunk of the populace) will never vote for them, then they might as well give up now. That's GOT to be AT LEAST 70% of the total population when added together.
