The Senate will incorporate the annual intelligence policy legislation into the National Defense Authorization Act — but only after Republicans stripped language from the intelligence bill that would have required presidential campaigns to report offers of foreign election help, CNN reports.

Sen. Mark Warner bemoaned what he called a “back-room deal” to strip out the provision.

I thought Republicans were all about election integrity and national security, but here they are opening the door to foreign interference in campaigns and elections without any oversight at all.
