is that he doesn't take it personally. At least not openly. He doesn't lose his shit at personal attacks, and considers his responses. Trump hates that. He wants people that are more like him, that get into his meaningless back and forth scrimmages while the real battles are being won in background.

Biden retains focus. Like the question at his presser about his cognitive abilities. He turned it around and made it a comparison of he and Trump, without actually attacking Trump. He just said, "I look forward to that contest" with a smile.

2. I've met him

Over the years here in Delaware. We're a small state, and I've been to various barbecue gatherings on his behalf when he was a Senator (many at a local fire hall). He's very approachable and affable. And he has had a life that has proved he is resilient.

I've bumped into our other senator, Tom Carper, at the YMCA and grocery store (at 10 pm a couple years ago). He's also friendly, but seems more reserved that Joe.
