Who would be on your MVP list of Citizens Who Deserve Recognition for their service to the US

during these horrible years of Trump, and prior GOP stonewalling?

I have several, but I'd top mine with Justice Ginsberg. Her incredible determination to remain in her seat through illness after illness preserved a balance in the court that they had to cheat to even try and overcome.

Who would you add?

I think that Dr. Fauchi would have to be there, he is enduring horrible things with this horrible man to try and stay in his face about the virus. He is a scientific rock star for what he did with AIDS and now this.

I think the NYT and Washington Post would have to be there too.

The most important is a group, all of the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers who are fighting this on the front lines.

The people in red states who wear masks everyday and take the abuse of the Trumpers.

And a great reminder that coming back strongly from this will have be an effort made across the board. That bodes well for the future.

Peanut farmer, nuclear engineer, US Navy veteran, a submariner, a Democrat, Governor of Georgia and President of the United States, founder of the Department of Education, founder of the CDC, environmentalist, creator of lasting peace between Egypt and Israel, longtime homebuilder for Habitat for Humanity, monitor of global elections, called my children “such pretty girls,” called Donald Trump an “illegitimate” President, and he’s still kicking at the age of 95.

That is a great American!

From his eloquent protests of the Vietnam War to being an essential person negotiating the Paris Accord, his has been a life of service. He often took on challenges that others rejected as not helpful to their careers including investigating the Contras before Iran Contra was a big story, investigating BCCI, even when big money Democrats were involved, and getting most of the Vietnam Vets in the Senate to investigate the POW/MIA issue a prerequisite to any normalization of relations.

Even now, he has been one of the people defending Joe Biden.

This man... deserves every bit of praise I can give him. I didn’t know I needed his voice in my life, ‘til I heard it.
