"SNIP.....
Daily Beast: After years of silence, former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn has started courting his devoted fans in the QAnon conspiracy theory, sending out signals of support for the underground movement that the FBI considers a potential domestic terror threat.
Flynn, who won a legal victory last week after an appeals court panel ordered a federal court judge to end the Justice Departments case against him, recently added a QAnon hashtag to his Twitter bio. And hes started writing an internet column filled with QAnon-style imagery.

(5,640 posts)I'd settle for jail, but an island somewhere with little food and water would suffice...
It's starting to smell like an armed insurrection forming between that gang, Betsy's brother and some other ne'er do wells gathering like a swarm of vultures.

(5,640 posts)it is apparent to me that they want a civil war. While I sincerely hope they do not get it, I have my concerns and with people like Flynn jumping on the QAnon bandwagon, it makes the future just a little bit more unsavory, especially seeing as how Trump has gone out of his way to demonize the left.
Make no mistake, they are dangerous to the safety of our nation.

(11,296 posts)that Michael Flynn was was branded as a nut job by the military and intelligence community long before he intersected with Trump. Like many of Trump's picks, Flynn was chosen because he was well outside of convention.

(12,712 posts)QAnon, in my opinion, is a big joke being played on the gullible. 4-chan, et al, are merry pranksters and famous for forcing various memes into the collective.
I haven't seen one get this big and far, but it is a gullibility test most certainly and shows how much traction conspiracy theories can get when people do nothing but believe what "sounds right" to them without researching or demanding any substantial evidence.
That's bound to happen, but as some foreign players know, too many Americans are psychologically and intellectually vulnerable this way and it all falls under the rubric of propaganda, no matter who's propagating it.
While the originator's of QAnon may be having a good laugh about pulling something over on so many gullible marks, the prevalence of conspiracy theories as a world view, (emphasis) is going to become very dangerous and destructive if the trend continues.
