The Republicans got what they had been working for over the last forty plus years: A Fascist Bastard who they had believed would at long last destroy our democracy. Their vision was and continues to be a dictatorial presidency. The real tragedy is that we failed to fully grasp the reality and ignored the warnings of numerous voices of the seriousness of their intent.

I hope that if the Democrats regain control that they will address the critical need for the implementation of laws that will prevent a repeat of future catastrophe for reawakening. The power and trust that the constitution puts in the hands of a president are far too easily abused as we have experienced by the Trump administration. The situation was allowed to intensify dating from the Nixon administration as Republican presidents have increasingly abused the trust they were given. It is not a new story but one written and rewritten over thousands of years.

As Lincoln said if you wish to measure a man's character, give him power. The power of the presidency must not be left to trust alone as has been clearly shown by this administration and the Republican Party whose members totally failed us. They are so consumed with the lust for power that they have not only refused to hold Trump accountable but have engaged in attacks on the fundamental and most powerful democratic principle: Fair elections. They are without reserved presently conspiring to rig the next election. We must react now to prevent if from the destroying the nation and transforming it into a dictatorship. The Republican Party is the enemy and must be either reformed or destroyed. This will not be an easy task. They have developed a massive propaganda machine that is poisoning the minds of millions of our citizens who are being tragically deceived. They have been convinced that they are the guardians of the Republic and are failing to realize they nothing more than pawns who are in reality the victims of their own destruction.

I have a rule of thumb about political supporters. When they "jump the shark", you had better keep your eyes on them as well as the opposition. 4 short months is a long time.
I think there is something fundamentally wrong with this ad. I feel as if my intelligence has been discounted. Usually that indicates that someone has overestimated theirs.

Sadly, the democratic attempts can't hold a candle to them. Why is that? We have smart, savvy ad people that can make slick ads... Don't we? At most ours are merely adequate.

Americans have short attention spans, so you have to grab them and keep them. The ads need to be MOVING, making people see the stark contrasts. The Lincoln Project ads do just that.

I appreciate all the help we can get. But we need to win because WE can put forth a reasonable and believable argument for Biden, OTHER than "he is NOT donald trump". I do NOT want to have to thank the republicans for defeating their own candidate. (Although if that is what happens, I will GLADLY accept the results.)
