More or less, every president pours our national wealth into this bottomless pit. Sadly, unless we divert massive portions of this military waste into Climate Justice and the Climate Crisis, were fucked, this according to the latest and best science out there. A Democratic president must have the courage to carve the shit out of that military wedge of the pie graph soon. I’m hoping Joe Biden is that president. 🤷🏼?♂️

Throw in Big Oil, which wants us all driving gas guzzlers and hauling all of our shit around in trucks.

Hell, add in the evironmental types who won't allow tracks to be laid.

Mostly it's money, as usual.

It was the last time he ran, I think it was 04? I don't think he ran in 08. IIRC, it was the same year he gave that awesome answer when someone asked him why black people kept voting for Democrats. I paraphrase slightly, but he said that black people had been promised 40 acres and a mule, and they were gonna ride that donkey til they all got their share. It was so good, I laughed til I cried. Anyway about the high speed rail, I loved that he was thinking about mass transportation, and high speed rail just makes sense. He was the only one discussing it at that point of the candidates.
