13. I Don't Believe Them

They're still reporting only 4,640 deaths.
They shut down 3 major cities for extended periods for 3.5 deaths per million people?
I don't believe it.
That death rate wouldn't even dent in the "unanticipated event" factor/guestimate in the actuarial models, insurance companies use.
That would be like 1,100 deaths in the US.
So improbable that I can't accept it.

If anything even closely resembling an NYC hotspot occurred in one of those cities, we would have known about it. When they discovered some new cases in Wuhan about a month ago, they tested the entire city’s population of 11 million people in 10 days. They’re serious about Covid, and we’ve given up.

I think you underestimate the governmental control of information.
I've been there a few times.
Information control is a big priority as they liberalized the economy.
"You can buy a car, but don't think too much!". An operating philosophy for the state.

CNN keeps airing charts that show total number of cases by state. I think that's pretty meaningless. Per capita should be the standard.
