Trump's Use Of His Old Slogan Leads To A Quick Reality Check

Donald Trump has tweeted something his critics can get behind.

Amid a resurgence of the pandemic that’s killed more than 128,000 people in the U.S., a struggling economy and nationwide unrest over racism and police violence, Trump’s key 2020 reelection slogan, “Keep America Great,” hardly seems appropriate. That carries an assumption that America isn’t great now, after he’s been in power for >3 years. And that seems to be an admission that he’s done a lousy job. He can blame China or Mexico or whoever, but that just comes across as a pathetic excuse. He sounds like he’s giving up.
