GOP Rep. Refuses to Wear Mask, Told to Leave Gettysburg Museum

BY JAMES WALKER ON 7/3/20 AT 10:00 AM EDT

An Ohio state representative said she was told to leave the Gettysburg Museum in Pennsylvania on Thursday after she and her husband refused to wear face masks in the building.

The Republican state lawmaker said the pair's tickets were refunded after they declined to wear the protective gear, despite the Gettsyburg Foundation website clearly warning visitors that face coverings are mandatory.

Posting on social media about the incident, Rep. Keller also called requirements to wear face masks "unconstituional" and suggested Americans were "losing their rights" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that the GOP lawmaker had previously refused to have her temperature checked as she entered Ohio' State House of Representatives.

The victimized martyr publicity stunt was purely a bonus.

Much be in a close race and looking to get a little national recognition. I bet she called the Cincinnati paper to report this outrage to her freedoms, too.

P.S. She lost her primary in April so no close race, but maybe she's auditioning for Fox.

die! Idiot. I hope that she gets thrown out of office onto her backside. The premises were clearly marked too, she still tried to make an issue out of it.

......the logic here

..Unconstitutional to wear a football helmet while playing in football game?

...Unconstitutional to wear be forced to wear helmet while riding a bicycle?
...Oh, I know someone who fell off a bike, didn't have a helmet and was killed...yes, killed

I am not taking about o those guided bus tours, but just driving your car around with a map selecting your own places to stop.

At the more obscure monuments there are very few other people around. We went to monument to the 45th NY Infantry twice in Summers which husband's great-great-grandfather fought under.

Not one other person anywhere around there while the more famous monuments were packed.

"They also noted that Pennsylvania joined other states in mandating the use of face masks in public spaces this week."

So this is an Ohio lawmaker trying to subvert the laws of Pennsylvania.
