Aurora officers fired over photo imitating carotid hold used on Elijah McClain

https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/front-range/aurora/template-local-news-story

AURORA, Colo. — Three Aurora police officers have been fired and one has resigned in the fallout over a photograph imitating the carotid hold used on Elijah McClain, interim Police Chief Vanessa Wilson announced in a news conference Friday afternoon.

One of the involved officers, Jason Rosenblatt, was also involved in the arrest of McClain, who suffered a heart attack and died after the encounter.

Rosenblatt was not in the photograph but received the photo and replied, "HaHa," Wilson said.

Aurora police on Friday released the pictures of the officers: Erica Marrero, Kyle Dittrich and Jaron Jones. Jones resigned before he was disciplined in the matter. Marrero and Dittrich were fired, along with Rosenblatt.

but taking a photo mocking the murder is.

I'm glad that at least one of the officers will be unable to be a cop (I initially typed "serve as a cop," but then I thought better of it because there was no service involved) in Colorado after this. I wish the same were true of all those who are getting fired over this.

Four cops with all their protected gear pounce on a man about 120 lbs. without protection and think this should be celebrated. This sadistic and they should join Chauven. I still believe 50% of the cops in America should be terminated.
