So how much money will Dan Snyder make on a name change?

All the old Redskins stuff will get snapped up - he will probably make more just to meet the demand. And then he gets to sell shit with the new name.

A perfect chance to do the right thing and make a profit off of it.

Now it just looks like he is just bowing to pressure. He missed the opportunity to be the good guy and is stuck doing it anyway.
