*****ANY***** vote that is not for Biden is a vote for Trump

Voting green this year? You're voting for Trump

Voting for Ralph Nader? You're voting for Trump

Voting Linden LaRouche? You're voting for Trump

Writing in Bernie Sanders name anyway? Trump is grateful for you

Voting for Kanye West? Guess what?

West knows this

and so do we

A while back, a poster here was railing against 3rd party voters and non-voters, and actually said outright, "I don't blame Republican voters" for putting Trump in office. No, to that poster it was entirely the fault of people who didn't vote for Trump. Weird.

Progressives who vote third party are either too self-absorbed to realize they are helping Trump, or even worse, know exactly what they are doing but seem to be more interested in punishing the Democratic party than getting rid of Republicans.

Tragically, we are a celebrity culture. People voted for a tv celebrity billionaire that they knew was a dbag. Im pretty sure they will vote for a celebrity like Kanye who, while eccentric, is not a dbag. Kanye cuts across politics too.

and who is a purported "celebrity", when in reality, 91% of black voters did not vote for a "celebrity" but voted for an experienced government official (having been both elected and appointed) - Hillary Clinton?

AA voters will choose him because he is AA or a celebrity? I don't. You paint a very unflattering portrait of AA voters, and I think you are wrong. They will vote for Biden knowing he is he only way to dump Trump...AA voters are very savvy politically.

A new study reveals the real reason Obama voters switched to Trump
Hint: It has to do with race.

One of the most puzzling elements of the 2016 election, at least for a lot of Americans, was the millions of voters who switched from voting for Barack Obama in 2012 to Donald Trump in 2016. Somewhere between 6.7 million and 9.2 million Americans switched this way; given that the 2016 election was decided by 40,000 votes, it’s fair to say that Obama-Trump switchers were one of the key reasons that Hillary Clinton lost.

(Snip)

“White voters with racially conservative or anti-immigrant attitudes switched votes to Trump at a higher rate than those with more liberal views on these issues,” the paper’s authors write. “We find little evidence that economic dislocation and marginality were significantly related to vote switching in 2016.”

This new paper fits with a sizeable slate of studies conducted over the past 18 months or so, most of which have come to the same conclusions: There is tremendous evidence that Trump voters were motivated by racial resentment (as well as hostile sexism), and very little evidence that economic stress had anything to do with it.

This isn’t just a matter of historical interest or ideological ax-grinding. Understanding the precise way in which racism affected the 2016 election should shape how we think about the electorate in the run-up to the 2018 midterms. More broadly, it helps us understand the subtleties of America’s primordial divide over race — and why racism will continue to fracture the country politically for the foreseeable future.

Trump rubes are committed to voting for him. You cannot peel off anyone from that 41 percent cult. You can only peel voters from those not voting from Trump.

so, he'll get less votes than usual!

I'm a Democrat. I'm voting for our nominee.

I think you might be preaching to the choir here.

But, I know at least one person who is still butthurt about Sanders and won't vote for Biden.

And this holds true whether your CHOICE is to vote third party OR is to not vote at all.

Trumo is a monster who is destroying demicracy. If they ever want voting to matter again, they must vote Trump out now, while there is still a chance that he will not try to overturn the selectionof the voters.

Jo Jorgensen (Libertarian) is going to suck a lot more votes from the red side of the political color wheel than the blue. She is an attractive alternative for those who just can’t stomach *45 but would not under any circumstances vote for Biden.

left who is seriously undecided about Biden or *45.

Unless it is someone who can't stand either of them and is dithering about the least worst choice.

In which case JoJo allows them to pretend that they are participating in the political system while not being forced to hold their nose and vote for *45.
