Call me cynical, but I do see simplicity.
1) Let COVID-19 pandemic run to generate panic and subliminal and free-floating fear of death and dying.
2) Deny COVID-19 is a problem. "It's going away," after all. Refuse to publish statistics, refuse to endorse masks, let the states worry about it, focus on opening the economy which helps maximize the spread.
3) Net result of #1 and #2 is you've got a stew of free-floating fear and unfocused anger.
4) Demonize Joe Biden, liberals, and every Democrat with fear mongering ads. Direct the pandemic's free-floating fear and raging anger, explicitly, subliminally, and every way you can - at Joe Biden and all Democrats.
That's what I see, in a nutshell.
Will it work? You tell me. But if you agree, call out their game wherever you can.

(23,263 posts)To pull it off, they have to engage in a campaign of unmitigated sophistry, and I honestly don't think that the people outside of his cult (the Kool-aid drinkers) will swallow it. tRump is too widely seen as too much of a liar and con-man for any semi-rational thinkers to buy into the schtick. A large portion of the media has had it with tRump and wants him gone, and they'll hammer him. There will be fear-mongering ads against Dems, but I just don't see them sticking; too many people see tRump for what he is.
