Bernie Sanders isn’t competing in New Jersey’s July 7 primary.

But his movement lives on in the Garden State.

Five of the Vermont senator’s allies are on the primary election ballot, challenging longtime Jersey Democrats in Congress with calls for a progressive agenda.

All but one are using the “Not me. Us,” slogan taken from the former presidential hopeful’s campaign website. And the other candidate got Sanders’ personal endorsement last week.

“When Bernie Sanders ran in 2016 and in 2020, he said he wanted to start a political revolution, so we’re running because we want to realize the platform that Bernie Sanders is running on,” said Lawrence Hamm, who ran Sanders’ New Jersey campaign and is challenging U.S. Sen. Cory Booker.
