9. Done. Turned out to be a monitor problem, not a computer problem.

Its electronic version of melodramatic death throes threw me off about where the problem was.

One curbside pick-up at a nearby electronics store later, all systems are GO, everything is copacetic.

Should be back in business tomorrow, unless the "famous last words" jinx bites me in the rear.
