It is unconscionable that Republicans are simply ignoring

How the Dotard said in the winter, and said again recently, that the coronavirus is going to just disappear. And apparently, the Republican Congresspeople are totally ok with that.

It’s as if Winston Churchill had told the citizens in the UK that the Luftwaffe was just going to magically disappear…

it's affecting these populations at a much higher rate (5X) than whites, which could explain why Trump and his fellow Republicans are choosing to largely ignore COVID-19.

(The CDC) "non-Hispanic American Indian or Alaska Native persons have a rate approximately 5 times that of non-Hispanic white persons, non-Hispanic black persons have a rate approximately 5 times that of non-Hispanic white persons, and Hispanic or Latino persons have a rate approximately 4 times that of non-Hispanic white persons."

As with every other societal ill in America - wealth inequality, police brutality, inadequate healthcare, high unemployment, substandard schools, voting rights, incarceration rates, air and water quality, and every other manifestation of this country's systemic racism - the response depends on who's being affected. When Trump says "99% of coronavirus cases are totally harmless," he's probably only talking about white people.
