"An outbreak of Covid-19 at a summer camp near Branson, 82 campers and workers have been infected

ST. LOUIS – An outbreak of Covid-19 at a summer camp near Branson, Missouri continues to spread.

There are 82 campers and workers who have been infected. The number of infected has grown from 49 on Friday to 82 Monday. State health officials said they were working closely with the camp.

He thinks most, if not all, the infected young people will survive and be fine. He worries they could infect the vulnerable, like grandparents when they get home.

Kids at home all summer, there’s risk associated with all outings to them bringing the illness silently home. If NONE infected at beginning of camp, a nice carefree break for both parents and kids.

But if some kids end up unlucky with the inflammatory syndrome, way too risky.

Well, that's useful and optimistic, huh?

We will wait and see on that. There is too much false optimism being spread around and we know what that's about.

indicator as some seem to think). My sister's kid (my niece) pulled her two kids out of summer camp when two of their kids tested positive for the CV. So far, all is good (the two kids are negative) and they live in the Joplin area too (which is near the Branson MO area).

Idiots. Why in the world are they having this mass gatherings of people still? My niece pulled her kids out over 1.5 months ago (summer school) and they haven't been back yet. I think (and I agree w/ her decision) that they are going to wait a year or so to go back to things such as summer school, camp, etc., until rump is out of office and we have a more firmer hand on the CV.

It's become a family-safe, family-centered vacation destination for conservative christians. I don't believe it started out that way, but over the years more and more christian groups set up displays, theaters, etc

When Jan and Paul Crouch of TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network)were still alive, they had annual get-togethers there. IIRC, some years they broadcast their Christmas program from Silver Dollar City

I found some old family films (not my family) at Youtube which showed what it looked like in the 70's. When I looked at the current pictures I was floored. Waayyyy different now.
