Gallup measures historic partisan divide on Trump's approval

Ninety-one percent of Republicans surveyed in a new Gallup poll say they approve of how President Trump’s handling his job.

That support plunges to just 2 percent among Democrats questioned in the same survey.

Gallup reports that the 89-point difference between Republicans' and Democrats' ratings of Trump is the largest partisan gap they’ve ever measured for a presidential approval rating.

In late January and early February, around the time of the Senate impeachment trial and ultimate acquittal, Trump had registered 87-point gaps in a Gallup poll.

I've heard it explained that the reason Trump has so much support among the GOP is that most of the moderates have left the party.

As in, you approve of blah blah blah.

Follow-ups:

Do you approve of children in cages?

More than 130,000 Americans are dead due to the coronavirus. Do you approve of how it was handled?

We are being shunned by our allies. Do you approve?

Do you approve of his response to the intelligence that the Russians paid a bounty to the Taliban for the kiling of American troops. Do you approve of that response?

Or these, from the rolling stone article just posted on another thread:

Shooting rubber bullet grenades at protesting priests.

Catastrophically botching the pandemic response, resulting in a public health and economic calamity.

Tweeting “white power” memes.

Ranting in front of empty arenas about how he navigated a “slippery ramp.”

Being MIA while his Russian benefactors put out a hit on American soldiers in Afghanistan.

And on and on.

The problem, of course, is that his folks probably think this is fine.

Evil. Vile. Monster.
