Not surprising. And glad he's back.

My two favorites:

Nature abhors a vacuum.

What your cat hears: Blah, Blah, Blah, Ginger, Blah, Blah, Blah.

It was a pair of strips. In the dog one the dog hears nothing but its name. In the cat one the cat hears "blah" for its name too.

would hear "food." I would expect dogs to hear "food" and "walk" at a minimum, besides their names. But og course, of none of those things were involved - yeah.

However, I think Larson's stuff is funnier.

That's possibly because he struck me as entirely derivative.

I can't think of a single Far Side that sticks in my memory, whereas many Klibans stick in my mind, notably "Philospher's Looting a Small Town," and "Due to a convergence of forces beyond his comprehension, Salavator Quanucci was squirted out of the universe, like a watermelon seed and never seen again."

This, is, of course, what happened to Kliban himself, and whenever I think what I want on the occassion of my death, I want my sons to say that about me, that I was spit out of the universe like a watermelon seed.

If there was ever a time for "Dirty Fat Person Sits on the President's Face," it would be now.

I miss Kliban more than ever.

I noticed when Kliban was spit out of the universe.

When Bill Watterson stopped sharing his creations, I noticed.

Larson left and I didn't notice.

Wish I could find my favorite Kliban online to post here, always made me laugh: Not being clever, Floyd had trouble with Claire’s harness.

And this was an instant classic:
