Almost drove off the road today during an interview on either The World or

Here and Now (NPR afternoon shows) during a trip to the dentist.

Interviewer was talking to a local government official in Houston. Discussion was about what to do re mounting infection numbers.

He asked her something like "wouldn't the economic damage from closing again be worse than the potential health risks" or something like that. The woman was speechless for a bit before answering.

So is that where we are at as a culture? Sacrificing - murdering - people because doing the moral thing may be inconvenient for businesses, for money?

I guess we are in a time when it's ok to shine a bright light on how macabre, how incredibly unfeeling and awful, we are becoming, because it seems it really is only about money.

These times nauseate me

They would not think this way were it not for a traitor in charge of the government who has the IQ of a 9 yr old.

GOP is purposely KILLING US, I keep saying this hoping people will wake up and go "hey, they are actually...maybe we ought to do something about it"

And it has been evident for quite some time, not just since the pandemic, that they really do want to kill us all.

Though, as I have pointed out, this is short-sighted on their part. Who would do the work the ?

Schools babysit so parents can die for the Dow.

It’s sick.

100 days we could knock this thing on its azz, like ny/nj/ct did. But we won’t even do that.

I would present facts and figures to back up my assertion, but I am somewhat lazy.

I leave it to you, to do your own research. On the plus side, you will believe your own research much more than my research. Please do so, for your own gratification and edification.

We are, however, between a rock and a hard place. People need to feed their families and the powers that be are not going to starve the military beast to feed the hungry. So, people will work in dangerous conditions in order to put food on the table or keep a roof over their heads.

Then it was realized that people of color were at especiallyy high risk. They were ok with sacrificing them to.

Now decisions are being made about the schools. I mean kids have got to get back to school, so more people can get back to work.

So now we are just willing to sacrifice a certain number of teachers and children too.
