That's not something the defendants will want a jury to hear - I foresee guilty pleas.

that is so powerful and heart wrenching, these bastards need to spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

If they walk, Milwaukee will need some major repairs I am afraid.

And it's Minneapolis, not Milwaukee - I live here so I hope we don't need even more repairs. But I'd be surprised if there are trials at all in light of that evidence.

and if I was the lawyer for any of those cops, I would take a deal.

One of them will never have a free day for the rest of his natural life.

And if, by some chance, the main offender is set free - I would move the hell out of Minneapolis?

I've watched enough discovery animal videos to see animals protect not only their own species, but protect other species. I don't know what these things walking on legs are.

of fact George Floyd wouldn’t get in car. Hopefully, the jurors won’t be swayed by that, but they will have to consider it.

It darn sure doesn’t explain Chauvin pinning neck for almost 9 minutes, and that crazed look.

That poor man. How heartbreaking. Those rotten bastard cops should never see the outside of a jail cell for as long as they live. I hope they die in prison. Justice needs to be served!

for George Floyd's death, but now I know with certainty that it was intentional. He did not appear to just be trying to hurt him, he obviously was trying to kill him. Lawrence's reading of the transcript was absolutely chilling. That was cold blooded murder.

i can't read it, can't listen to it

i'm glad there is a transcript so there is no doubt as to what was being said

i've read these posts--i'm glad it provides more clarity

but i just can't witness any more than i've already seen on tv--i have to close my eyes when the news shows clips of this man being murdered

i feel as if i have, just by viewing the news clips, intruded on this man's death -- me -- this stranger.

i'm just a little weird i guess.
(truth be told, i never saw schindler's list either--but i did (accidentally) see a booklet filled with photos from the concentration camps that our government compiled. my dad developed some of the film/pictures. i was 7 or 8 years old. i saw enough.)

I saw it early on and I can't forget how the people around, being kept back were getting more and more frantic. The female firefighter was really irate at the cops. She kept trying to get them to check Floyd's vitals, but they ignored her. Like you were watching a film, you couldn't believe that the cops wouldn't listen. And Chauvin just kept kneeling there like he was waiting for a bus--not the least bit stressed, upset, nothing. The whole thing was surreal.

One thing that always gets me in these situations is that when the person says they can't breathe, the cops say 'oh you can talk you can breathe'. If they are on the person's artery, the blood is shut off to the brain and the lungs are not going to function properly, besides you are going to black out from oxygen deprivation to the brain. Unless I'm not understanding it correctly, being able to talk really isn't relevant in that case. I don't think they care really, just going to keep the person down no matter what.
