interracial couple move into upscale neighborhood and the white wife received this letter

The family, who live in the Wakefield Estates in the Raleigh neighborhood of Wake Forest, received the anonymous letter, which was written to “Lori” — a white woman — and singled out her Black husband and two teenage children.

Dear Lori:

Before you think about putting signage up in your yard or if you had any ideas about making a public statement on your property about George Floyd or racism please remember that the rest of us live in an upscale neighborhood and have spent the extra money to stay out of mixed neighborhoods and/or the ghetto," the letter states. "No one wants trouble or any circumstance arising which could turn our neighborhood into a 'semi-ghetto.' Please keep your husband and teenaged kids well behaved and orderly because no one is interested in your or their ‘struggles.’ Keep matters inside your own house and do your best to keep this area upscale and free of that element,” it read. “Most of us would not hesitate to call the police if your kids or husband get unruly, so please be considerate of everyone else living amongst you.”

With sincere Gratitude

have come out, publicly, in support of the interracial family. Good. The cowardly racist must be feeling pretty lonely.

Is receiving from their neighbors and the management company. A young person is making and selling blm signs and donating the proceeds to the NAACP.

I don't know how anyone can hold it together when that hatred is coming towards them.

I sincerely hope the perpetrator is found out, and that Karma pays them a visit. I don't have the class and grace of this family.

ONE person wrote that note.

Nobody knows who they are. We don't know if they actually live in that neighborhood. We don't know if they've ever been in that neighborhood...other than to leave the note.

They're probably laughing about the 'outrage' they caused.

With, of course, a picture of Obama. And if they want to be explicitly Dem-supporting, "our next upscale president", and Biden.

I have unfortunately seen this in my own family with regards to class. I wasn't passable enough to be invited to a wedding after-party once by a relative. If they wrote a letter to me and spoke their thoughts out loud, it would have read like this.
