The Judiciary is holding

"The Judiciary branch is strong and WE. WILL. HOLD"

A few weeks ago, a dear old friend, a Republican-appointed federal judge, trying to console me during a moment of despair about the future of our country, said to me “The Judiciary branch is strong and will hold.” When I expressed skepticism, he leaned toward me, looked me dead in the eye, and said as firmly as he could without shouting: “We are strong and WE. WILL. HOLD.”

Kavanaugh, and more so Gorsuch occasionally surprises in a positive way. Thomas and Alito continue to be total assholes.

It makes perfect sense when you put it in the context of "the judicial authorities will hold against the rogue litigious poser".

"The Judiciary is one of three branches of state government in Hawai`i. The other two are the executive and legislative branches. As an independent government branch, the Judiciary is responsible for administering justice in an impartial, efficient and accessible manner according to the law."

"branch, the Judiciary"..."The Judiciary branch"...same meaning.

That's actually not the same thing.

"an independent government branch, the Judiciary" and "Judiciary branch" are not the same.

The Judiciary is the only branch of our government keeping it honest. I kept reminding myself that the Constitution means a lot more to the Supreme Judges than it does to anyone else. Their decisions have frustrated many presidents of both parties.

Remember the urgency of Bush v Gore?

Whoosh! Instant action! Stop the vote count!

Now, contrast that with the 3-year slow-walk on the Trump cases. Now guaranteed to extend past election day -- AGAIN.

I call bullshit.

The judiciary is protecting its image by not **overtly** putting thumbs on the scales for Trump -- at least not so much as to fuel the "Expand the Court" movement.

But wow has it slow-walked these cases.

Just, wow.

Again: contrast with Bush v Gore.
