We might beat him on a conventional playing field. But he'll move the game. He'll start beating war drums, allow the government to shut down, stoke civil unrest with false flag attacks, you name it, he'll pull it. He's in the crosshairs of justice and he'll be running for help soon, if he hasn't already. He'll go to Erdogan, he'll go to Putin, he'll call in favors. He'll cut side deals that will shock and devastate us when they are ultimately discovered. He'd gin up a war just to run on the premise that you can't fire a president in wartime. The media will repeat his words without interpreting and dismissing them. The pandemic grows worse and we'll be in our homes, socially distant.
I don't want this to happen. But come on. What did Trump do when Robert Mueller was on his ass in real time? He fired everyone and hired enablers. He didn't submit to justice, he subverted it. What makes you think he won't do the same thing now, only in broad strokes and fever pitch to stir his zombie army? We're winning the real battle, the legal battle, the battle of opinion, the popularity contest, but Trump is a vandal and he is about to light a match and ignite a bomb. Damn, I hope I'm wrong, but in my mind Trump is diabolical and sadistic and doesn't give a shit about any one of us, none of us, no one. He's the kind of guy that would only accept defeat if he brought everyone else down with him at the same time.
I sure hope the Deep State keeps him in check until November.
