Michael Cohen apparently sent back to prison b/c he wouldn't agree not to publish book about Trump

Tweet from Seth Abramson, minutes ago:

NEW: This is getting interesting—it now appears that ex–Trump lawyer Cohen was returned to prison because he refused to agree not to publish the book about Trump he's already written. Cohen's lawyer now implies that the book publication condition came from the White House or DOJ.

So eating out at a restaurant while under house arrest had nothing to do with it? Unless he lives at the restaurant, it sure looks like he openly violated the terms of his release.

They said he had “refused the conditions of his home confinement and as a result, has been returned to a BOP facility.” Normally, if it was for leaving his house they would have said he “violated” the conditions of his release. That word “refused” caught my eye immediately.

It has to be worth risking his life because he has 16 months left on his sentence. I don't know what the corona virus situation is presently at the prison to which he is returning. In mid-April of this year, 25 guards and prisoners had it, according to the NY Times. That's Otisville.

So if it's over a book, it has to be worth his life because the chances of catching corona virus in prison are real good. There is essentially no sanitation and no social distancing. Hey, maybe he's a Type O and will get a light case of corona if he indeed gets it.

His book deal could be worth millions--after all, Bolton was and maybe still is at the top of the NY Times bestseller list. Cohen's book will be a way easier read than Bolton's and will have the sleaze factor...Stormy Daniels, etc.

he said he'd sign anything they wanted so as to not go back to prison, but by that time it was too late and they hauled him off.
