MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell pointed it out during an interview with Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA).

22. I think this is being slightly misinterpreted...

I read it as one of those leaps in the conversation where a tangent emerges without warning. He was whining about the BLM sign and what he thinks he did for the local politicians, and this is where the leap comes, he laments their thanklessness by complaining that New York, all of it as an entity, not being thankful do nothing but prosecute him in return which reveals his real concern, the charges coming when he's out of office.
