what we stand for. Most of them don't realize that we are fighting for the things that will make their lives better in the long run.

But, you know, they can't seem to get over the things that aren't really any of their business and don't affect them negatively at all such as rights for minorities, gay people, women, and immigrants. The right to choose and the right to marry who you love. The right to hold on to social security and medicare, to clean air and water, to freedom of assembly and speech, etc.

They just have to hate us because they hate their lives and they are so miserable and bitter about everything and they are too afraid to blame the rich and powerful, so they punch down thinking it will make them feel better. But it gets them nowhere and they get more frustrated and angry and they don't even know why.

That's exactly what Trump is doing. Trump is commuting Roger Stone's sentence to impede an investigation into himself, and influence or tamper with a witness’s testimony. This is obstruction of justice.

A personality cult that tries to establish rule of men over Rule of Law purposely conflates 'loyalty' with 'patriotism.'

Most of those who put party henchmen or president over country are loyalists who simply substitute "patriotism" for their core value of "loyalty."

We who know what a Rule of Law nation is, know that they fool no one but themselves.

Stone is small potatoes and he just gave up political capital to keep him out of jail when he could have just waited until after the election. Even if he lost he'd still have three months to pardon him before he was gone.

So, pretty clearly this is just another attempt to change the news cycle and gets people focused on something besides his abysmal response to coroanvirus. It won't work. This will be covered, slightly, for about a day and then back to wall-to-wall COVID coverage. We can remind everyone about it when convenient and say that Trump is the swamp who abuses his power to do personal favors for his friends.
