I think its origin is simply that MAGAts' inclination to mindlessly ape His Lardship. Trump says the virus is no big deal and he's not going to wear a mask, so the MAGAts translate that into nobody has to wear a mask and any local government that tries to mandate it is encroaching on their freedumb, plus anybody who does wear one is a snowflake and probably a Communist. The Russians just help them catapult the propaganda.

and being selfish and not caring about the well-being of others or science are most certainly a couple of them.

I think Russia is given too much credit sometimes. Kinda like when people think that Trump is playing three-dimensional chess, when in reality he doesn't even know what chess is.

Like what Russia and trump did to Hillary. They release damming stuff usually false claims, then promote it with propaganda while attacking the truth. I think this is all Putin.

...promotes such protests as well as content designed to divide the U.S. For example, in "USA: Protesters rally for anti-mask protest, chant "We can"t breathe" Ruptly ran a story featuring Alex Jones of all people railing against masks and BLM at the same time. What is insidious is how being anti-mask has now morphed into identity politics and racism, which Russia is trying to push.
