Biden leads Trump in Florida, tied in Arizona and Texas: poll

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is leading President Trump in Florida, according to a new poll, and is tied with the president in two other key swing states Trump carried in 2016: Arizona and Texas.

Biden has a 6-point lead over Trump in Florida, based on the CBS News poll released Sunday. The former vice president has 48 percent support and Trump has 42 percent in the Sunshine State.

In Texas, the candidates are in statistical dead heat, with Trump at 46 percent and Biden at 45 percent.

Trump and Biden both have 46 percent support in Arizona.

The three battleground states are also experiencing surges in coronavirus cases. The poll found that voters most concerned with COVID-19 were more likely to support Biden.

There are other paths to 270 for Biden that don't include Florida, but if he wins that, it's almost certainly lights out.

We voted for Obama both times. And despite the influx of conservative retirees we get each year, our demographics are better.

I know 3 people, republican all, who voted against Obama but are on the Joe bus. 2 of them voted for Trump. One sat it out.

And our economy is only going to get worse.

That's all he needs to reach 270 and all 3 are out of reach for Trump unless something drastic happens. The Media wants a horse race so we'll hearing a lot about AZ, TX and probably GA. Biden is building a decent lead in FL but I always worry about GOP shenanigans and f**k ups in my home state when it comes to voting.

I always appreciate that. Florida at 37% conservatives has to be more favorable than either Texas or Arizona at above 40% conservatives.

I am optimistic about Florida. I don't think Biden will carry Texas. I am unsure about Arizona but I believe tied is very representative of where that state should be right now. If we win Arizona it will be by an eyelash. I have always dismissed any poll with Biden several points ahead in Arizona.
