U.S. Testing Czar: Fauci Doesn't 'Have The Whole National Interest In Mind'

Adm. Brett Giroir, the Trump-appointed U.S. assistant health secretary who’s been charged with overseeing the nation’s coronavirus testing, said on Meet the Press Sunday that the U.S. is winning the war against coronavirus, seeming to agree with President Donald Trump’s assessment of the coronavirus response while breaking with Dr. Anthony Fauci, who said last week “I don’t think you can say we’re doing great,” adding, “I mean, we’re just not.”

In the Sunday morning interview, Giroir told Meet the Press that he respects Fauci, but said that Fauci “is not 100% right” and that he doesn’t necessarily "have the whole national interest in mind.” Giroir said Fauci’s views are because “he looks at it from a very narrow public health point of view,” implying Fauci doesn’t necessarily take other factors, like economic impact, into consideration when making recommendations.

Giroir spoke against the idea of shutting large swaths of the country down again, saying that it could actually bring negative health consequences like worsening mental health and causing people to miss exams such as cancer screenings if elective procedures are shut down.

The Trump administration is reportedly planning to have Giroir and FEMA Administrator Peter Gaynor make more public appearances related to the coronavirus response, while Fauci has had some media requests denied after making recent comments suggesting the U.S. is not doing a good job of controlling the pandemic.

is suspect. It is a sick cult. Fauci won’t play ball so they are trying to discredit him. This tactic is straight out of the KGB/Soviet playbook. Putin must have advised them on this strategy.

I even went over the Freeperville. Their disgusting views rolls off my back since I hear worse from my family.

More and more of them even there know people or have family who have died from this. And finally a few are taking it seriously. And they are the nuttiest of the nuts. None of them will vote Blue, but they aren’t drinking the COVID coolaid Hoax anymore.

As a Narcissist trump sees this virus as an attack on him and it is costing him the election. He is wrong. This pandemic was a gift on a golden platter to him that could have insured his re-election. Had he been capable of thinking of anything but himself. Had he been a real leader like many in Europe or our neighbors in Canada he would be cruising to re-election. But because from the git-go he tried to create a reality that is obviously false to a majority of Americans, he may well lose. And he keeps doubling down.

with a corrupt and incompetent "commander", this is a recipe for disaster..We've understood since Nuremburg that "just following orders" is no excuse.

Disaster/horror

I remember the jumpsuit. He and the Surgeon General I think. Giroir looks dead on like Michael Keaton with a funny hairdo.

Adm. Giroir, you can't have that bigger picture if you keep trying to bullshit on the fundamentals.
