Ted Cruz on a commercial flight, refusing to wear a mask.

**UPDATE**

For those trying to argue that he was drinking, it's not hard to have a mask on and undo one side to take a sip then put it back on. Most people take their time drinking coffee.

Also, here's a photo of him sitting outside the gate:

He appears to be drinking coffee. The few flights I’ve been on have explicitly allowed unmasking for eating and drinking. So the question is whether he milked the coffee for the whole flight

No evidence that he "refused" anything... but no reason to like him.

on a lay-over in Chicago from LA to NYC for refusing to wear their masks after boarding. He said that he can’t land somewhere unscheduled for that purpose, but once he’s on the ground in a scheduled stop, he has that right. He notified personnel, and they were escorted off the plane as soon as they landed. He would have ditched Teddy in a heartbeat. And... my friend is a republican.

Despite how much I despise Ted Cruz, I think we shouldn't jump to conclusions based upon the photo that is being tweeted.

The air vents above his head are aiming his (possible) Covid-breath directly at the person who took the photo.

I may release one ear, but I don't take it off and put it away. I tend to believe he wasn't wearing one. It is Ted Cruz, after all

And I never pull it down to my neck. That's risking more contamination.

I remove it with my fingers holding by the straps, then place it somewhere safe.

I usually do the stupid pull down thing.

Mainly because I was doing lit drops for a campaign in 100 degree weather. (Didn't have any contact with anyone, but pulled it up over my ears when I got to the door just in case I had contact with any people. )

Unless you have a custom mask that grows a hole upon demand so you can eat and drink through it, you have to remove it for those purposes. It doesn't mean he refused to wear it throughout the whole flight.

Ted Cruz flew on an @AmericanAir commercial flight yesterday and refused to wear a mask. And American Airlines let him violate their own rules, and put all of its passengers’ lives in danger.

I just confirmed that Ted Cruz went the entire one-hour-eight-minute flight from Houston to Dallas and never put on his mask. so he wasn’t just drinking coffee for a minute.

Never in my life have I canvassed as much as I did for Beto. destroyed 2 cheap pairs of walking sneakers. At least I was able to still get Lizzie Fletcher out of all that work and unseat one really vile rep out of the house.

Soooo want to see Texas turn blue. Will be the end of the presidency for them, and a much harder job to hold the Senate.

Sitting in an enclosed, crowded room with re-circulated air is one of the most efficient means of transmitting the disease.
