NY prosecutors believe Ivanka skimmed millions from inaugural fund

https://www.politicalflare.com/2020/03/new-york-prosectors-believe-ivanka-trump-skimmed-millions-from-the-2016-inaugural-fund/

A new government lawsuit filed in January alleges that Ivanka Trump illegally over-billed the non-profit Inauguration Committee to bilk expenses and benefit the Trump family. It doesn’t take an FBI agent with 30 years of experience to see that all that money pouring in, over $114 million for an inauguration committee, a number that vastly exceeded all previous inauguration funding, despite this being a smaller party. Rumors circulated that much of the money originated outside the United States, which operated as a big red light. Apparently that strobing right light proved too difficult to ignore, and the investigations started.

In principle, I'm not in favor of the government stepping in to silence people, but that is part of what happened with Coughlin. It was wartime and he was supporting the Nazis and it was argued that the 1st amendment didn't necessarily mean that you had a right to radio broadcasting.

If you're rich and non-white, you can go to prison for your crimes. (Unless, like O.J., you can hire the best lawyers in the country to go up against an inept prosecution and a laughably inept judge.)

If you're white and non-rich, you can go to prison for your crimes.

If you're both rich and white, you stay out of prison unless what you've done is so horrendously bad -- and at the same time stupid because your greed blinds you to the risks -- like Bernie Madoff and Kenny-Boy Lay and Ivan Bosky. Even Jeffrey Epstein managed to work a sweet deal out of his original bust.

This particular article doesn’t even get into the most unseemly practices that have been alleged. There are allegations that the committee paid an ungodly rate for services to Winston-Wolkoff, a very good friend of Melania, close to $24 million if memory serves (Winston-Wolkoff has the ring of someone who is comfortable dealing in large amounts of money and someone willing to look the other way on highly lucrative pay structures.) Let’s stipulate that over $20 million was paid to Winston-Wolkoff for her services provided for this 4-5 day event, and questions remain as to why such an extravagant payment went to Winston-Wolkoff, with many believing that she and her 6 week old company were nothing but a pass-through to Donald Trump.

Also, Winston-Wolkoff has a memoir due out September 1.

Did she?

I know someone who got scammed once in a "direct marketing mail drop" business this way.
The scammer convinced them he needed them taking orders for his business then he would ship the product.
Orders came in fast and furious and the scammer had the target set up a bank account to collect the credit card charges.

About a month later, the orders dried up. And the scammer had never shipped the products. He disappeared.
The targets found the account they had set up in their name to collect the charges was DRAINED.

And.
The targets were liable for income taxes on all the money running through the account to collect the credit card charges, which was credit card fraud too.

When you ask someone why they need your help in their business and they say "for income tax purposes".
It is time for you to walk away.

If there were any russkie mobsters donating, could we use pretzel justice to attach it to money laundering (like trumphumpers use pretzel logic to explain ANYTHING the turd does), charge them, use RICO, and seize all their assets?

I'm putting my hopes and dreams on money laundering, and the NY AG, Letitia James. We know they did it. It can pretty much be proven (one example would be the 40 million $ Florida lot sold to a Russian oligarch for 95 million, which was never lived in by said oligarch, but promptly razed,... not to mention all the NYC apts sold to the russkies, some in Turd Tower). The turd was nothing but a Putinski Laundromat.

Mon Jul 13, 2020, 01:18 PM

As part of the settlement, Mr. Trump, who at first dismissed the suit as a political attack, made 19 detailed admissions, acknowledging, for example, that the foundation had purchased the $10,000 portrait of himself that was ultimately displayed at one of his Florida hotels.

He admitted to using the foundation’s money to settle obligations of some of his for-profit companies, including a golf club in Westchester County, N.Y., and Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Florida which he frequently visits.

And he admitted that the foundation had given his presidential campaign control over about $2.8 million that the foundation had raised at a veterans fund-raiser in Iowa in January 2016.

As part of the settlement, Mr. Trump’s three children who were officers of the foundation — Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump — were ordered to undergo mandatory training to ensure they do not engage in similar misconduct in the future.
