Berating the press saying how great Florida was doing.

It's never a good look to crow about winning the marathon when you're at mile marker 1.

What a dumbfuck he is.

and we can't even drive up because we can't drive up in one day and there are states where the hotels won't take people from Florida because of Covid.

Thank you, De Santis, for limiting our options.

President Donald Trump delivered his wishes on Twitter in all caps with three exclamation marks — “SCHOOLS MUST REOPEN IN THE FALL!!!”

Just hours later, the Florida Department of Education ordered school districts to prepare for in-person instruction five days a week.

The state’s announcement blindsided Fedrick Ingram, who leads the Florida Education Association. He said his union representing 150,000 school employees had no formal involvement or input into the order.

He doesn’t think it’s a coincidence the order to reopen schools signed on Monday came on the same day as the president’s tweet.

“Our governor has tied himself politically to the president,” Ingram said. “We have seen that time and time again in terms of the policies he has rolled out and how he has handled this pandemic. It is unfortunate in this country we do educational policy by tweet.”

I'm assuming this trip is extremely important for your family. A FL RV dealer may rent to you.

maybe you could camp, but it is warm at night, like low 70s. The heat wave isn't as severe along the US East Coast, but there would be a lot of camping spots if you travel close to the Appalachian Mountains.

My church, here in Georgia in a low-outbreak county, had reopened the church for in-person services on July 5th. They shut it down again on this last Saturday, after only two Sundays.

I normally track our counties in north GA thru the state health dept website, but it's been down all morning. I have no idea how much COVID-19 is surging around here.

If you see cars lined up in Miami for testing.
Miami-Dade has 3,200 already today as well as the highest number of ventilators in use there. 1,459 new cases in Broward - with PPE shortages everywhere - absolute chaos.

so the number of infections is probably low. And I've never believed the death numbers from there. There have been way too many stories about officials manipulating the death counts.
