In Michigan, for primaries, I have to declare a party and I get a Democratic ballot. I fill in the circles, feed it into the reader, pick up my 'I Voted' sticker and I'm done.

presumed Republican nominee.

If you go in as a Republican and it is not a Republican ballot then the machine won't work for you.

That's what I thought. I thought it made perfect sense that this woman could not vote. She obviously is a Trumper and he is the nominee so why is she upset?

I looked it up.

Louisiana has closed primaries. She somehow got a Democratic voting machine instead of a republican one. Was her registration switched as she claimed and sent to the Democratic machine or was she lying is the question. I also looked up if republicans actually had a republikkklan primary, they did.

Louisiana doe not hold primaries for state and local elections. They are all on the GE ballot and whoever does not reach 50% goes into a runoff.

1) That Louisiana's Secretary of State is a staunch Republican, and it's stupid to think that the voting systems there are rigged for Democrats.
2) That this was a CLOSED PRIMARY, and that's why you can't vote in the primary of the party of which you're not registered.
3) It's the voter's duty to check his/her party affiliation, and this year she even had extra time to do it. The State provides an online site to check it, and sends out reminders for it.
4) That she's either dishonest, stupid, or both.
