1. I was just stopped dead in my tracks...

Someone posted the old nuclear war scare movie "The Day After" on YouTube. I remember the movie scaring the shit out of me as a kid and everyone thinking the Russians would be bombing us any day. This was back in '83 and it is seared into my memory like the scenes from "The Exorcist" (the possession scenes) and "Amityville Horror" (the black vortex thing in the basement...the 'eyes' of the house...the ghastly murders...pretty much the whole damn movie).

Anyway, here's a link to the scene that stopped me cold:
