Reagan also passed amnesty. Only he and johnson ever did that. Not sure Reagan would be happy to see these wacky people today.

Many of his domestic policies would have put him in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party today.

Reagan? Well, he was a liberal FDR Democrat until he married Nancy. While I don’t think he would switch back, I think he would likely be more of a McCain or Romney: still a conservative Republican, but would probably speak up against some of the batshittery in the GOP today.

Eisenhower? AFAIK he never voted before he ran for president and didn’t belong to any party. He was courted by both to be their nominee and chose the GOP because he leaned conservative but also Truman was very unpopular. So I could see him actually being a Democrat today.
