Alot of my friends are election judges.

They really need election workers right now. They closed 11 polling sites today in Bexar County because they did not have enough election judges.

Thankful that my Representative, Lizzie didn't have any real primary challenge. Her position's going to be hard fought for to keep without that extra mess.

Have been very torn between Hegar and West on the Senate ballot. 2 great candidates to choose from. Will be happy to get behind either for the GE. Will be going for Hegar in the runoff. Volunteered for her campaign when the DSCC endorsed. Since I like both, I figured I'd trust the DSCC to back the one that has the best chance of helping the POTUS ticket and best chance of flipping Texas into the Blue category.

That was a tough choice. The choice for Railroad Commissioner is also difficult.

Especially between West and Hegar. Position wise they're nearly identical.

West brings strong and vast legislative experience. He'd also break a glass ceiling of being the first black US Senator from Texas. His candidacy will help turn out the minority vote more than Hegar would, which helps Bidens run as well at the same time. As a negative, he'd be directly pitting his state level legislative experience against Cornyn's federal level legislative experience. That would give Cornyn some stronger talking points.

Hegar brings that military pilot with combat experience to the table. Personally, that's not something I give 2 shits about for choosing a Senator, but I'm also realistic and know that is something that does sit well for a large portion of the Texas electorate. The purple heart award will sit well with many. Her candidacy will help turn out the pro-military and female vote. In NextDoor app, and my Texas political Discord server, her narrative that she was in the military while Cornyn just says he supports the military trends well. Her major downside is lack of legislative experience that will likewise be used by Cornyn.

It’s unlikely that we can beat Cornyn with either candidate, but if Joe’s coattails are long enough, you never know. Hope feels dangerous to me at the moment, but that won’t stop me from fighting the good fight.

Out of curiosity, whom do you prefer in the Railroad Commissioner race?

Another couple that I'd have no heartburn at all backing either in the GE.

Pretty much ended up going off the resume of 20ish years legislative experience vs 30 years of Oil and Gas experience.

He’s a seasoned party insider. We need a politician on the Railroad Commission more than we need an engineer, but I will gladly support either candidate. We are blessed with a deep bench this year.

It’s refreshing to see so many MORE Texans actually care about whom we Democrats nominate.

Seeing a lot of dedicated energy on our side.

The political fight I'm most vested in and spending the most volunteer time with is Lizzie Fletcher. Soooo happy to finally have a representative that represents my pov, and want to keep it.

At the moment, every single politician who allegedly represents me is a Republican, but I will continue to work to change that.

I suspect Lizzy will do fine.

Liz's 2018 win is the first time I've had House representation in my adult life. I'm getting spoiled having a rep whose office responds rather than just sending me a condescending form letter.
