Top White House aide shares cartoon mocking Fauci

Top White House aide Dan Scavino publicly mocked Anthony Fauci late Sunday, sharing a cartoon of the top U.S. infectious disease expert depicted as a faucet on social media.

Scavino, White House social media director and deputy chief of staff for communications, posted the cartoon with phrases like “schools stay closed this fall,” “indefinite lockdown,” and “no NFL season” spewing from the faucet.

In a message accompanying the cartoon, Scavino promised to “publicly” disagree with Fauci while suggesting the top public health official had voiced disagreement “cowardly” through leaks to the media.

“Sorry, Dr. Faucet! At least you know if I’m going to disagree with a colleague, such as yourself, it’s done publicly – and not cowardly, behind journalists with leaks,” Scavino wrote. “See you tomorrow!”

The adult behavior in Trump's White House is inspiring!

NOT.

Throughout his presidency, Trump has repeatedly insulted and demeaned the very people he needs to accomplish his goals. Why is that?

The denial that Trump exhibits with the Covid-19 crisis is unbelievable! He seems to think that if we don't test, there won't be any cases. He seems to think that if he ignores the science and the doctors, the virus will "miraculously" go away. Trump seems to think that if he insults one of the preeminent epidemiologists, that professional's knowledge and experiences won't influence the public.

Trump is an idiot.

In any other White House, if a senior aide sent out that cartoon, they would be sacked before lunchtime. Scavino is a punk, lust like his boss.

BTW Scavino is not Dr. Fauci's colleague by any stretch of the imagination. Dr. Fauci helped to discover the
retrovirus that causes HIV/AIDs.

(Hey, Scavino Dr. Fauci warned about effects to the economy of opening back up too soon.)

White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Tuesday that the United States could face even more “suffering and death” from the coronavirus if some states rush to reopen businesses too early.

It could also hinder states “on the road to try to get back to an economic recovery,” he testified at a hearing before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. “It would almost turn the clock back rather than going forward. That is my major concern.”

The White House has laid out a plan that allows states to gradually reopen local businesses as cases and hospitalizations decline and testing increases, among other “checkpoints,” Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. He added he’s worried that some states are loosening social distancing restrictions even as their Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

“What I’ve expressed then and again is my concern that if some areas, cities, states, what have you, jump over those various checkpoints and prematurely open up without having the capability of being able to respond effectively and efficiently, my concern is that we will start to see little spikes that might turn into outbreaks,” he said.

most only funny to those who love the lies and, usually, massive insults that evoke their chortles.
This one's actually far less disgusting than most I've seen.

And the difference between them and the political cartoons their audience work hard not to see is extremely revealing of the character of the different audiences.

Dr. Fauci is the only one we can truly believe. We're in bad enough shape but, without him, the U.S. will be totally out of control. By answering our concerns--behind Trump's back or not--he still has our well-being in mind...much different than from the POTUS. If they won't let him speak from the Task Force, what else can he do?

Dr. Fauci is our whistleblower. We need to protect him.

He shouldn't wait to become just another former disgruntled Dump employee. He should resign on prime-time national TV and lay it all on the line. Every TV channel will cover it.
