I had and empty cylinder and a 20% off coupon at Bed Bath & Beyond. For the heck of it, I checked the display - it was empty but for ONE refill bottle! So, I went to the desk, where you do the exchange, and she told me I lucked out - they were down to the last 2 and she had no idea when they'd be getting any more in. I only bought one because, well, why be greedy. One cylinder lasts me a long time.
If it wasn't for the plague, and my desire to limit contact with potential spreaders, I would have stopped by Target to see if they had the same situation or if it's just a BB&B situation.

Best Buy, if you have that in your area. Target Walmart and BBY exchange them.

All of those stores are right down the street from me. I think Kroger stores also do exchanges.
I like the size of the Soda Stream bottles. I can finish one before it goes flat.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. plans to close approximately 21% of its namesake stores, or 200 locations, over the next two years, the company announced Wednesday.
The New Jersey-based home goods retailer, which also operates buybuy Baby, Harmon Face Values and World Market, said the closing stores would "mostly" be Bed Bath & Beyond stores during an earnings call with analysts.
In January, company officials said they still planned to close 60 stores across all of its concepts, which was originally announced in October 2019. However, in January, the company said 20 of the 40 Bed Bath & Beyond stores scheduled to close would be delayed until the first half of 2020.
CEO Mark Tritton said during Wednesday's call that the closings would save the company between $250 and $350 million annually after one-time costs.

Back when I had a Soda Stream, I researched and there were directions online about refilling the CO2 cartridges. I never bothered since I seldom drink soda and my husband who does, didn't like the Soda Stream versions. So I gave the Soda stream to a friend in case they could use it - with two teenagers at the time, I thought it was worth a try for them.

(26,262 posts)I've never tried any of their flavoring additives. In the Summer, I mix the soda stream fizzy water with fresh lemon and lime juice, and a little simple syrup for a nice, tart citrus aid. And I mix them with fruit juices. Cuts the sweet and the bubbles make it so much ore refreshing.

(34,136 posts)If I remember correctly they said to get a large CO2 tank from ? and you had to get an adapter to go from the standard connector to the Soda Stream one.
I also found other syrups and recipes to make your own flavors.
My husband drinks Diet Mountain Dew (:puke but he learned to like Iron Bru while in Scotland. If I could get a Soda Stream syrup to make an Iron Bru flavor at home, he'd probably like that - but I don't need any more gadgets for the kitchen.

Due to high demand during COVID-19, were experiencing inventory constrains on our CO2. In order to support all of our consumers, we are temporarily limiting orders of CO2 canisters to a quantity of 2 per consumer. This issue may also cause a temporary Out Of Stock situation. We apologize for this inconvenience and recommend to revisit our website at a later time or visit any of our retail partners . Stay Safe.

And what else? Finding seltzer water in the stores in 2 liter bottles is getting harder.
We drink lots of carbonated water and seldom put anything in it. My wife does order different syrups from Monin which she sometimes uses. They have lots of flavors.

A big 2 liter bottle of any sparkling drink might lose its fizz before I can finish it, so I like being able to make up a smaller quantity.

(17,984 posts)Right now I only use 7 UP, diet. Maybe I every couple of days. Mostly water through my Fridge Filter. Doctor, keep those kidneys working, does not mean tea or coffee! So I figure that includes soda, too!
