GO FUCK YOURSELVES!!! You stupid ignorant assholes. You're going to be the same shitstains who will pretend that you never voted for him or didn't know he could be that bad.
Where the fuck were you in 2015 and the lead up to the election. Did you not see the groping tape, did you not see him mock a disabled person? Did you not see his thugs in action at rallies? Did you not hear his description of immigrants and refugees?
You who thought you wanted to try something different, you who thought he was a "businessman" (after 5 bankruptcies) and since when did we ever elect a businessman for president? You who felt that he would put in anti-abortion judges?
Well your belated thoughts and hollow remorse is too late.
Go crawl in a hole and die!!!

(65,042 posts)Now, he wasn't one who believed government could be run just like a business.
But, he was in agribusiness before, during & after he was governor.
He moved assets to a blind operating trust when he became president, which of course, was the ethical thing to do.
But, we did elect a businessman.
What was done in 2016 was to elect a rotten, dismally unsuccessful businessmen who lied about his track record.
Not so much being a businessman as about being a horrible businessman.

(65,042 posts)He did make a point of having run a successful farm before going into government.
But, that was ok, because he was a success.
PINO sold a bill of goods to rubes.

(65,042 posts)I just don't think being a businessman should be a disqualifier.
Provided one isn't a bankrupt hack!

(66,366 posts)STFU, you fucking dumbasses! If you're running for public office, you are, by definition, a politician. And talking about how much you hate government isn't going to earn yourself my confidence, either. if you're goal is to play a part in government, I want you to like it at least well enough to want to do it well.
I've noticed that the government haters tend to be blisteringly incompetent at everything they do. So wanting a crack at being an incompetent politician isn't going to send me scurrying to my polling place except to vote against you.

Personally, I don't vote for people whose stated purpose is to destroy the gov't they are purportedly running to control, but that's just me.
After that many years of electing politicians whose goal was destruction of government, we finally end up with The Joker.

(1,375 posts)Trump won my state by over a half million votes, I don't think my being in mourning is the reason we lost.
I'll vote for Biden in November by I'm fairly certain that he won't win my state either.

(51,308 posts)I normally don't like these kind of posts because I don't think yelling at DUers has any purpose.
But I recently saw a thread here where several DUers chimed into say that the tangeranus could have been a "great" president.
That blew my mind. And it sure makes me wonder.
So thank you.
